What is Peak Editor?

Peak Editor is a free, web-based tool for controlling every MIDI parameter on your Novation Peak or Summit straight from the browser. You see and adjust oscillators, filter, envelopes, all four LFOs, the modulation matrix, all 60 wavetables and the whole FX section in real time - without touching the synth.

The editor is built to complement your hardware: fetch whole banks from the synth, build your own patch library, compare and morph between sound variations, and look up the exact CC or NRPN number behind every parameter so you can automate them in your DAW. No install, no drivers - just open it in your browser.

What you can do

Full parameter control

Control every MIDI parameter in real time: three oscillators, filter, three envelopes, LFO 1-4, modulation matrix and FX.

Fetch and save

Read single patches or whole banks from the synth, and write edited patches back to any slot.

My Banks library

Build your own patch library, organize with favorites and search, and back everything up to a file.

A/B and morphing

Save a version, compare it with your edits, and glide smoothly between two sounds to find new ones.

Randomize with locks

Randomize new sounds, with pitch and any chosen sections locked so the instrument always stays playable.

DAW-friendly

Every control shows its exact CC/NRPN number so you can automate the parameters in your sequencer.

Privacy: Everything happens locally in your browser. No patches or data are sent anywhere - your library is stored in the browser's own storage on your computer.

Getting started

Connect your Peak or Summit over USB, open the editor in Chrome or Edge, allow MIDI access and select your device. The full manual walks through everything step by step - from connecting to advanced features like staging, morphing and randomization.
